Setting up a custom workspace is like your own empire, where you can arrange all your applications, programs, commands, and shortcuts as you wish.
Personalized windows – create a user-friendly environment that helps users work comfortably. By changing some window settings like -theme, sounds and notifications, Taskbar, start menu, etc., you can easily personalize your window 11.
1. Set an Attractive Wallpaper
After starting a computer, we see an image wallpaper on the window screen. The first thing we need to do is set an attractive image or Wallpaper. Because an attractive wallpaper is the first impression of a computer screen, if you set a low-resolution and ugly picture, you can become demotivated from using the device. Sometimes it’s up to your mind whether you will break the device. So set new images:
- First, go to the Settings option from the start menu to set Wallpaper.
- Click on the start menu to jump to the Personalization menu.
- On this window, you can see a tab – Personalize your Background. Check that your Personalized background tab is also set to picture mode; you can see some high-quality images by default. If none of them like it, you can download it yourself and upload it from the browse photos option.
- After clicking the browse photos option, the window will automatically open the file explorer, directly moving to the pictures resources on your computer. Then select a picture that you like and press Enter to open.
2. Set a Custom Theme
A theme combines custom settings, including colors, wallpapers, sounds, etc., that define how an interface will show to a user. On Windows 11, you can set a custom theme to manage your settings more deeply. You can change the settings for almost everything under the theme.
If you want to change a theme and use a new one, you can do this by following the steps:
- Go to the start menu and click the Settings tab.
- In the next window, you can see the personalization option. Click on the Personalization option.
- After clicking the option, you can see a new window on the screen, and there you can see the Theme tab on the sidebar. Click on the Theme menu to see the whole interface to change the theme option.
- Now you can see some by default Themes there. Click to set any of them that you like.

Regularly after downloading a font, we get the file in a zip file. After unzipping a file, you can install a font by following the steps:
- Go to the zip file to unzip the font folder. Click the right button of the mouse on the folder. You can see the Extract Here option from the list and click on it.
- Then select a font style you want to install. Click on it to open.
- Finally, click the install button to install the font on your desktop.
Another way you can install fonts. You can drag and drop fonts in the image’s box. When you drop a font file on the box, it will automatically install on your device. You can also choose a font from the list.
4. Enable Slideshow on the Background
To see a single image every day also for a long time is very dull. The solution is to change the image, and here windows 11 came up with the Slideshow feature. The feature will help you to release dull moments. You can set many images at a time, and the images are shown one by one on your screen. To enable the process, you can follow the below steps:
- Click on the Picture tab from the Background menu, and you will see a few options on the screen.
- Then click the Slideshow button to set the images you want to see.
5. Use Custom Apps
Windows 11 allows you to use several custom apps by default. This app helps you personalize settings to provide a great user experience. Microsoft included Almost Six customized apps on windows 11. You can change the settings of these apps to get a personalized window. Some of these apps are –
Start11
When talking about windows 11’s custom apps, Start11 comes first. Customers can use the customizing tool Start11 downloading from Stardock to regain their Windows experience.
The Windows 11 Start menu was arguably the most significant improvement, but with Start11, you may switch it out for the standard Windows 7, 8, or even 10 Start menu designs.

This feature saves you time. For example, you work on a group of apps daily. After opening your pc, you need open the apps one by one. But windows 11 has the feature to set these apps on startup, meaning when you open your device regularly, windows will automatically open this app by default.
To set these functions – Go to the apps menu from the settings. Next, click on the Apps menu.
Then you will see the startup button. Click on it, and in the next window, you can turn on/off the switch which app you want to include.
